R&D Project Manager - HVDC - India Development Centre

Key Responsibilities: - Define project objectives and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements - Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget allocation - Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant stakeholders - Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop mitigation strategies - Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations - Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment - Inspire and motivate R&D teams and collaborate with resources from functions across the company Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master's or higher degree is a plus - 10+ years of experience in the power industry - Experience in Power System studies, Control and Protection functions development - HVDC or Micro Grid development or Renewable sources integration experience is an added advantage - Extensive experience in managing projects related to power system studies, control, protection in an R&D environment - Ability to simplify and communicate complex topics in simple terms - Ability to think strategically and adjust solutions to diverse audiences - Experience working in a multicultural team - Willingness to travel as needed - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language Please note that Hitachi Energy values diversity and inclusion.
