R&D Engineer

Role Overview: You will assume an expert role in the design & development of capacitor products as a specialist in physics. We are looking for someone with a positive mindset, analytical capabilities, and a strong drive for collaboration with teams and stakeholders to build the best possible product. Key Responsibilities: - Design, conduct, and supervise experiments to test scientific theories related to materials (polymers, fluids, etc.) and processes (drying, impregnation, sealing). - Develop scientific theories and mathematical models to explain physical phenomena such as vibrations, sound, acoustics, and thermal properties. - Analyze and interpret large amounts of data using complex mathematical calculations, computer simulations, and software like Python or MATLAB. - Plan, perform, and review calculations, simulations, and qualification tests on capacitor products. - Participate in working teams, share technical knowledge, and support colleagues in applying processes and tools for high-quality results. - Write technical reports, project and product documents independently, including feasibility studies for decision-making. - Conduct quality case root cause analysis, reliability studies, design reviews, and prototyping & testing of capacitors. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in physics (PhD preferred in Thermal, Sound, and Acoustics) with 4-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in high voltage switchgear. - Strong analytical and mathematical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, curiosity, creativity, and persistence. - Proficiency in data analysis, computer simulations, and familiarity with laboratory equipment and experimental techniques. - Product knowledge of HV equipment/capacitors preferred. - Hands-on experience with 3D model/PLM tools like Creo 4.0, Windchill, and SAP is preferred. - Knowledge and understanding of various standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, IS, ISO, DIN, IP, NEMA is preferred. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English & Hindi language is required.,
