About Retail Liability Products

Retail Liability Product unit is the business division responsible for designing, managing and growing the Bank's liabilities portfolio (on Savings & Term Deposits) through focus on attracting & retaining retail deposits, which serve as a low-cost source of funds that are crucial for Balance sheet and liquiditymanagement .The unit is responsible for new & innovative Product Designing, pricing & interest rate strategy, customer acquisition & retention strategy, cross-sell strategy for customer stickiness and profitability alongwith compliance management

About

Partnerships lead role primarily entails building strategic partnerships and embedded banking products into ecosystems where customers already operate. This shall encompass partnerships across spectrum including Business Correspondents to Fintechs, NBFCs, startups, digital platforms and other entities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partnership Development and Management - New to Bank (NTB) & Existing to Bank(ETB)

• Forge alliances with Corporate Business correspondents, fintechs, payment companies,NBFCs, wealth techs etc.
• Co-create & customise liability products (e.g. co-branded digital savings accounts, embedded deposits etc).

1. Ecosystem Banking

• Embed bank's deposit and transaction products into partner ecosystems like payroll platforms, ERP systems, e-commerce portals, investment apps, etc.
• Offer API-led integrations for seamless onboarding and servicing.

1. Liabilities Growth

• Drive CASA growth through partnerships.
• Mobilize bulk deposits via institutional tie-ups.
• Tap new segments (gig economy workers, startups, SMEs, NRIs) through ecosystem solutions.

1. Digital & Innovation Focus

• Build digital acquisition models for liability products.
• Explore Banking as a Service (BaaS) opportunities where the bank's liability products power third-party apps.

• Use liability partnerships as a base to cross-sell loans, cards, insurance, and investment products, forex etc
• Enhance fee income through ecosystem-linked services (collections, payments, payroll).

1. Governance & Risk
   

• Ensure compliance with RBI regulations on deposits, KYC, and partnerships.
• Structure commercial models (revenue-sharing, incentive-based) within regulatory limits.

Qualifications

Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

.Graduation / Post-Graduation (MBA-Marketing preferred) from a recognized institute

.15+ years of experience in the BFSI sector alongwith relevant Partnerships experience & understanding.
