Rail CAD Designer

Description

Key Responsibilities:

o Experience and understanding of rail industrial development design, surface grading,

underground services, utilities, drains etc.

o Preparation of Drawings for Rail Plan and profile, Typical section, Cross sections, Layout

setting and General arrangement drawings.

o Interference Check with other disciplines and resolution of Inter Disciplinary Clashes.

o Willing to advance in career by taking increased engineering design responsibilities by

closely working with discipline lead engineer.

o A committed team player able to work on own initiative.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce

accurate work.

o Tools:

• MicroStation or AutoCAD
• OpenRail, OpenRoads, InRoads, Civil 3D
• Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook,

OneNote

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skillset:

o Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI in Civil Draftsman.

o Minimum 2 to 8 years of experience in preparing the drawings for rail.

o Working knowledge of design codes and standards used for Rail Engineering designs.

o Working knowledge of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way

Association (AREMA) guidelines.
