Radiology Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and report diagnostic imaging studies including:
• X-rays
• Computed Tomography (CT)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Ultrasound
• Mammography (if applicable)
• Interventional procedures (optional/specialized)
• Correlate imaging findings with other clinical and laboratory findings.
• Provide timely and accurate reports to referring physicians.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions (tumor boards, clinical rounds, etc.).
• Ensure optimal image quality and minimize radiation exposure following ALARA principles.
• Review and approve imaging protocols as per clinical indications.
• Supervise and guide radiology technicians and junior staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with medical record-keeping standards.
• Stay current with advances in radiologic technology and medical knowledge.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NABH, AERB).
• Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and quality assurance programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MBBS) + MD/DNB in Radiology

  from a recognized institution.
• Valid medical license to practice radiology.
• Registration with relevant medical council (e.g., MCI/NMC or State Medical Council).

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• [8–10 years of post-MD experience in a clinical radiology setting.
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret cross-sectional imaging (CT/MRI).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
• Comfortable with emergency and on-call duties (if applicable).
• Subspecialty interest (e.g., Neuro, Musculoskeletal, Interventional) is a plus.
