Role Overview: As a Record to Report (R2R) General Ledger (GL) professional, you play a crucial role in the finance and accounting operations of the organization. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by effectively managing the general ledger and related reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: - General Ledger Management: You will oversee and manage the general ledger to ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards. - Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to ensure timely and accurate reporting. - Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for completeness and accuracy of financial data. - Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining strong internal controls over financial reporting. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the R2R function to improve efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices where applicable. - Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of accounting practices. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA or relevant professional certification preferred. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. - Experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes. - Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
