Job Description

Role Overview: As the QVE (Quality Value Engineering) Chapter Leader at Schneider Electric, your primary focus will be driving cost optimization, quality improvements, and value engineering initiatives across product lines. You will play a crucial role in leading QVE projects to reduce product costs while maintaining or enhancing quality and performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment, provide technical guidance to the R&D team, and oversee multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: - Lead QVE initiatives to reduce product costs while improving quality and performance - Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the R&D team - Work closely with R&D, procurement, manufacturing, and marketing teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities - Use data analytics to identify cost drivers and prioritize engineering changes - Oversee multiple QVE projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting performance targets - Collaborate with suppliers to explore cost-saving opportunities - Functionally manage a team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams - Establish governance mechanisms to track project progress and report savings to senior leadership - Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product design and validation processes Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering - Experience: 10+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or product development with a proven track record in cost reduction projects - Skills: Experience in LV domain, strong understanding of various components, expertise in CAD tools, technical acumen in low Voltage Switchgear technologies, leadership experience, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies - Preferred: Experience in the electrical or automotive industry, certifications in PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing, multicultural team management experience Additional Company Details: Schneider Electric values ethics, compliance, trust, and inclusivity.
