Job Description

As a QVE (Quality Value Engineering) Chapter Leader at Schneider Electric, your role will involve driving cost optimization, quality improvements, and value engineering initiatives across product lines. You will be responsible for leading QVE initiatives to reduce product costs while maintaining or enhancing quality and performance. Collaboration with global and regional teams, such as those in China and France, will be crucial to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the R&D team will be essential in fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading QVE initiatives to reduce product costs while maintaining or improving quality and performance. - Collaborating with global and regional teams to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer. - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the R&D team. - Developing competency in Technical, leadership, and Functional aspects of the team. - Working closely with R&D, procurement, manufacturing, and marketing teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities. - Using data analytics and benchmarking to identify cost drivers and prioritize engineering changes. - Overseeing multiple QVE projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and meeting performance targets. - Collaborating with suppliers to explore alternative materials, components, or manufacturing processes to reduce costs. - Functionally managing a team of engineers and working closely with other cross-functional teams during localization projects. - Establishing governance mechanisms to track QVE project progress and report savings and performance metrics to senior leadership. - Driving innovation and continuous improvement in product design, testing, and validation processes. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering. - 10+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or product development. - Proven track record in cost reduction and value engineering projects. - Experience in leading cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications: - Experience in the electrical or automotive industry. - Certifications in PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing. - Multicultural team management experience.
