Role overview

Support costeffective delivery of construction projects through estimating, rate analysis, contract administration, billing, and Excelbased reporting. Works closely with project teams, contractors, and procurement to manage budgets, claims, and documentation.

Key responsibilities

Estimation & rate analysis

Prepare quantity takeoffs, BOQs and cost estimates for tenders or ongoing projects.

Analyze rates for materials, labor, equipment using current market data; update as needed.

Track cost variations and advise on budget impacts.

Contract and documentation

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, work orders, and subcontracts.

Evaluate contractor claims, variations, and pricing requests for compliance and reasonableness.

Maintain records for billing, approvals, and negotiations.

Billing and cost control

Prepare and verify client and subcontractor bills.

Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.

Perform site measurements or validations when required and produce periodic cost reports.

Excel and data management

Use MS Excel for cost calculations, rate databases, dashboards, MIS reports, pivot tables, charts, and analyses.

Maintain vendor rates and material records.

Coordination and communication

Coordinate with site teams, engineers, contractors, and procurement for progress, market comparisons, and negotiations.

Attend project meetings to resolve costrelated issues.

Assessment requirements

Clear aptitude test covering numerical ability, logical reasoning, and basic engineering concepts.

May include practical test on Excel and rate analysis.

Desired skills and competencies

Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, cost control, and contract management.

Proficient in MS Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivots, dashboards.

Solid understanding of civil engineering concepts.
