Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Extract quantities from both 2D and 3D drawings using digital tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam.
• Identify discrepancies in drawings, tender documents and raise technical queries for clarification.
• Collaborate with design and planning teams to validate scope and quantity assumptions.
• Analyze drawing revisions and update quantity data accordingly.
• Prepare detailed measurement sheets and support the creation of cost estimates and BOQs.
• Cross-check quantities with design consultants and site teams to ensure alignment with actual conditions.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and measurement sheets.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and quantity data.
• Conduct unit conversions and ensure accuracy in quantity calculations.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Exposure to metro rail or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with pre-tendering workflows and procedures.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and measurement techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or related field.

Added Advantage:

• Prior internship or academic exposure to metro projects.
• Understanding of tender documentation and drawing-based quantity extraction.
