Job Description

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, your main role will involve preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and feasibility studies during the design phase of construction projects. You will be responsible for developing tender documentation, assisting in contractor selection, and negotiations. Monitoring project costs and expenditures throughout the construction phase and updating budgets will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to identify and mitigate commercial risks, perform value engineering to optimize cost-efficiency, and administer contracts, including variation orders, claims, and final account settlements. Conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders are key aspects of this role. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and feasibility studies during the design phase - Develop tender documentation and assist in contractor selection and negotiations - Monitor project costs and expenditures throughout the construction phase; update budgets and track variation - Identify and mitigate commercial risks; perform value engineering to optimize cost-efficiency - Administer contracts, including variation orders, claims, and final account settlements - Conduct site inspections to validate progress and completed works - Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, health & safety, and quality standards - Prepare and present regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final project summaries to stakeholders - Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field - Minimum 4+ years of experience in quantity surveying, cost consultancy, or related commercial roles - Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS/AIQS) is an advantage Please note that this job is full-time and permanent with benefits including food provided, health insurance, and Provident Fund.
