Job Description

As the Quality Technologist, you will serve as the COS Brands quality ambassador, embodying and upholding the COS Quality Guideline Principles. You will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving product defects while maintaining the highest standards of quality for woven and leather products. This role also involves monitoring supplier performance, conducting thorough inspections, and implementing robust quality control measures throughout the production process. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Global Production team to co-execute market development plans, supplier strategies, and product strategies, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives What you will do: Product Inspection Quality Control: Perform thorough inspections of finished woven and leather garments at various stages of production to identify defects (e.g., stitching issues, fabric flaws, color discrepancies, sizing errors, and material defects). Conduct pre-production and in-line inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards for woven fabrics and leather materials. Ensure that garments meet both company specifications and customer expectations for woven and leather products. Defect Identification Resolution: Identify the root cause of defects in woven fabrics and leather products, collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions. Work closely with design and production teams to improve garment quality and resolve any issues promptly. Track defect trends and provide recommendations for improvements in the manufacturing process to reduce issues with woven and leather items. Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess supplier; including product quality, delivery timelines, and adherence to contractual terms. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry best practices. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely resolutions to any quality-related issues. Co-Execution with Global Production Team: Co-execute market development plans, supplier strategy, and product strategy in collaboration with the Global Production team to align quality goals with overall business objectives. Documentation Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, defect reports, and corrective actions for woven and leather garments. Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with all internal and external quality standards and regulations, especially for woven and leather production. Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest improvements to enhance the quality of woven and leather garments, reduce defects, and streamline production processes.
