Quality Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspection and monitoring across transformer manufacturing stages such as:
  Core Cutting & Core Stacking Coil Winding Core & Coil Assembly (CCA) Brazing/Lead Connection Drying/Oven Process Tank Fabrication & Tanking Final Assembly & Testing Readiness
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, clearances, and BOM as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with quality plans, SOPs, inspection checklists, and customer specifications.
• Identify non-conformities during assembly and raise

  NCRs

  (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Coordinate with Production and Design departments to resolve quality issues in real time.
• Conduct

  stage-wise inspections

  and maintain inspection records.
• Monitor material traceability and ensure usage of correct components as per purchase specs and job order.
• Support

  Root Cause Analysis

  using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto etc., and implement CAPA.
• Ensure adherence to

  ISO / IEC / BIS standards

  and customer technical requirements.
• Assist during

  customer inspections & FAT readiness

  .
• Ensure workplace quality, process discipline, and improvement of First-Pass Yield.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of transformer manufacturing process and components
• Understanding of quality tools (7QC tools, CAPA, MSA, FMEA preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings & BOM
• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, DFT meter, Insulation tester, etc.)
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work with multiple departments
