Job Description

1. *Quality Planning*: - Develop and implement a Quality Management Plan (QMP) tailored to the project, outlining quality standards, procedures, and objectives. - Define quality control and assurance processes, including inspection and testing protocols. - Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, ANSI) and project specifications. 2. *Quality Assurance*: - Establish systems to monitor and verify that all mechanical work adheres to design specifications, drawings, and contract requirements. - Conduct regular audits of processes, materials, and workmanship to ensure consistency and compliance. - Coordinate with engineering and design teams to resolve any discrepancies in specifications or drawings. 3. *Quality Control*: - Oversee inspections and testing of mechanical components, such as piping, HVAC systems, pressure vessels, and machinery, to ensure they meet quality standards. - Verify that materials used meet required specifications (e.g., material certifications, welding standards). - Monitor installation processes to ensure proper techniques and adherence to tolerances. 4. *Documentation and Reporting*: - Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality audits, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. - Prepare and submit quality reports to project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies. - Ensure traceability of materials and components through proper documentation. 5. *Compliance and Standards Enforcement*: - Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, codes (e.g., ASME B31.3 for piping), and safety standards. - Liaise with third-party inspectors or regulatory authorities to facilitate certifications and approvals. 6. *Training and Team Coordination*: - Train project personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. - Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues promptly. - Promote a culture of quality awareness across the project team. 7. *Non-Conformance Management*: - Identify and document deviations from quality standards. - Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances. - Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of quality issues. 8. *Supplier and Vendor Quality Management*: - Evaluate and audit suppliers and subcontractors to ensure their materials and services meet project requirements. - Verify that procured mechanical components comply with specifications before use. 9. *Risk Management*: - Identify potential quality risks in the project and develop mitigation strategies. - Monitor critical activities, such as welding, pressure testing, and equipment installation, to prevent defects. 10. *Client and Stakeholder Communication*: - Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors. - Ensure client satisfaction by addressing quality concerns promptly and effectively.
