Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector – Automobile Manufacturing Location: SMRC, Sriperumbudur, Chennai Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹21,000 per month Experience Required: Minimum 3 years Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our automobile manufacturing team at SMRC, Sriperumbudur. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing visual and dimensional inspections to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities:Conduct visual inspections of automobile components and assemblies to detect surface defects, scratches, dents, or other anomalies. Perform dimensional inspections using instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards. Record inspection results accurately and maintain detailed inspection reports. Identify non-conformities and communicate findings to the quality control and production teams. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation. Ensure adherence to company quality policies and procedures. Collaborate with production staff to improve product quality and process efficiency. Candidate Profile:Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection in an automobile manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inspection tools and techniques. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with basic quality standards (ISO/TS 16949 preferred).
