Head of Quality

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality System & Policy Implementation:

• Establish, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and local building codes.
  
• Develop quality plans, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists specific to high-rise construction phases (e.g., substructure, superstructure, faades, MEP, finishes).
  

2. Project Oversight:

• Supervise QA/QC activities across all high-rise projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and international best practices.
  
• Monitor concrete quality, formwork, rebar installations, faade systems (curtain wall, cladding), elevators, fire safety systems, and waterproofing systems.
  
• Coordinate with third-party testing labs and consultants for material testing, NDTs, and system validations.
  

3. Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead a team of QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors across multiple high-rise projects.
  
• Conduct regular quality awareness and training sessions for engineers, subcontractors, and site teams.
  
• Set performance benchmarks and conduct evaluations of QA/QC personnel.
  

4. Vendor & Subcontractor Quality Control:

• Pre-qualify, evaluate, and monitor vendors and subcontractors for compliance with material and workmanship standards.
  
• Ensure quality of factory-finished materials such as aluminum windows, glass, fire-rated doors, HVAC systems, and other prefabricated elements.
  

5. Auditing & Reporting:

• Conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external quality assessments.
  
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly quality performance reports and escalate issues requiring senior management intervention.
  
• Maintain up-to-date QA/QC documentation and records for handover and regulatory purposes.
  

6. Non-Conformance & Root Cause Analysis:

• Identify, document, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  
• Lead root cause analysis sessions and drive implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  

7. Interface & Client Coordination:

• Act as a point of contact with consultants and client representatives on quality-related matters.
  
• Support project handover documentation and ensure successful closeout of snag lists and final inspections.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  
• Minimum

  12+ years of experience

  in QA/QC within large-scale high-rise building projects (25+ floors).
• In-depth knowledge of high-rise construction methodology, concrete technology, faade systems, and vertical transportation systems.
  
• Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or equivalent (preferred).
  

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of high-rise building codes, local authority regulations, and international standards (ACI, BS, ASTM, NFPA, etc.).
  
• Proficiency in project documentation, QA/QC tracking software, and digital inspection tools.
  
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings in detail.
  
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  

Preferred Experience:

• Projects involving luxury residential towers, commercial high-rises, or mixed-use skyscrapers.
  
• Experience with top-down construction, jumpform systems, or post-tensioned slabs.
  
• Familiarity with LEED certification and sustainable construction practices (desirable but not mandatory)
