Quality Engineer -MEP, Bidar, Karnataka

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain maintenance job order standards, inspection protocols, and preventive maintenance procedures in compliance with GMP and SOPs.
• Assess all the inward material receipts for its quality as per the prescribed specifications.
• Verify the condition and proper usage of standard maintenance tools (e.g., dial gauge, torque wrench, bearing puller, lux meter, megger, multimeter, tong tester).
• Perform gap assessments between current maintenance practices and Pharma / Industrial quality standards.
• Support implementation and optimization of asset management systems
• Review and validate supplier quality capability to confirm compliance with specified standards.
• Review and verify third-party contractor work and job completion against predefined quality standards and scope of work.
• Conduct on-site assessments of outsourced maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation, traceability, and quality compliance

Civil

• Validate construction activities against approved layouts and design specifications.
• Monitor curing, reinforcement, and finishing quality to ensure conformity with standards.
• Verify the installation of cleanroom wall sealings, seal integrity, and contamination control (e.g., epoxy, PU flooring, sandwich panels).
• Verify the quality of painting (No overlapping, different shades, without surface preparation, splashing of paint etc.)
• Inspect floor slope, surface finish, and waterproofing systems for compliance with design and performance criteria.

Mechanical

• Review / inspect the pipeline fabrication works for its quality of welding
• Verification of the pipelines installation for its proper supports, painting, right gasket (thickness & MOC), uniform size nut & bolts, pipeline alignment etc
• Providing the right insulation materials with right thickness for all the lower temperature material transfer lines
• AHU installation, ducting layout, seal integrity, filter condition, duct insulation etc
• Electrical:
• Assess safety compliance, flameproof (FLP) integrity, and earthing systems as per regulatory standards.
• Inspect installation and commissioning of electrical panels and wiring, ensuring alignment with approved drawings and specifications.
• Validate control panel documentation including as-built drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and standardized labelling for MCC/PCC panels and feeder references at JB/PB stations.
• Conduct routine checks on UPS and DG sets to ensure operational reliability.
• Ensuring the electrical cable routing with the cable trays with adequate support and proper cable dressing

QMS

• Inspect compliance with statutory requirements such as load testing of hoists, lifts, forklifts, pressure vessels, and interlock systems.
• Verify quality parameters for process utilities including MEG, DI water, steam, and nitrogen.
• Monitor utility generation, distribution, and consumption to ensure alignment with operational requirements.
• Review validation documentation, airflow patterns, pressure differentials, and temperature/humidity controls against design specifications.
• Verify filter cleaning procedures and integrity checks in accordance with established protocol
• Conduct routine quality inspections related to maintenance activities across HVAC, Utilities, cleanroom infrastructure, Production blocks, QC Labs, Ware house etc.
• Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
