Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of machined components through precise measurement, adherence to mechanical drawings, GD&T standards, and ISO 9001 requirements. Knowledge of PPAP documentation is highly preferred to support our manufacturing and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and inspect machined components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to verify features and tolerances.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve quality issues related to machined parts.
• Maintain and update quality documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Prepare and review PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation to support new product launches and process changes.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform internal audits and support external audits related to quality management systems.
• Ensure calibration and proper functioning of measuring instruments and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of measuring techniques and tools for machined components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Experience preparing and reviewing PPAP documentation is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Certification in quality management or related fields (e.g., CQE, ASQ) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
• Experience with measurement equipment such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
