Quality Control Microbiologist (Entry-Level)

The Quality Control Microbiologist (Entry-Level) position based in Ahmedabad is currently open for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join the Quality Control team. As an Entry-Level Microbiologist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory safety standards like FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP. Your key responsibilities will include performing routine microbiological tests such as Total Viable Count (TVC), Yeast & Mold, Coliform, E. coli, and Salmonella. Additionally, you will be conducting swab tests for environmental monitoring purposes and maintaining laboratory operations by preparing culture media, sterilizing lab equipment, and ensuring aseptic techniques. You will also be responsible for documenting and reporting all microbiological results accurately, preparing Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and maintaining internal logs for audits. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring food safety and compliance by conducting hygiene audits, coordinating with production and sanitation teams, and assisting in implementing corrective actions post-contamination incidents. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to educate production staff on hygiene practices, support the QA Manager during audits, and provide training and support to ensure plant-wide hygiene compliance. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field, and preferably have familiarity with microbiological testing methods in the food or pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of food safety systems like HACCP, GMP, or FSSC 22000 will be advantageous, along with strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, and effective communication skills.
