Quality Control Inspector

QUALITY INSPECTOR/OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION Position Overview We are looking for a Quality Inspector/Operator to join Advance Transmissions. In this role, you will check parts to make sure they meet our quality standards. You will work under the Quality Engineer during your shift. Your main job is to inspect incoming materials, check parts during production, and inspect finished products in the CNC/VMC and Hobbing departments. You will use measuring tools, follow inspection procedures, and report quality problems. Key Responsibilities Incoming Material Inspection Check raw materials when they arrive from suppliers Measure dimensions of incoming parts Compare materials to specifications Fill out inspection reports Tag accepted and rejected materials Move accepted materials to storage Report quality problems to your Quality Engineer In-Process Inspection Check parts during production at set check points Use gauges and measuring tools correctly Compare parts to drawings Record measurement data Identify parts that don't meet requirements Tag and separate bad parts Report quality problems to operators and Quality Engineer Final Inspection Check finished parts after production Measure all critical dimensions Verify surface finish meets requirements Make sure all features match the drawings Fill out final inspection reports Tag and separate rejected parts Move accepted parts to shipping or assembly areas Using Measuring Equipment Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges correctly Handle measuring tools with care Clean tools before and after use Store tools properly Check that tools are calibrated before using them Report any problems with equipment Documentation and Reporting Fill out inspection reports completely and accurately Record all measurements clearly Document any quality problems found Complete control charts correctly Report quality problems right away Provide clear descriptions of quality issues Help identify possible causes of defects Following Procedures and Maintaining Work Area Follow all quality inspection procedures exactly Use the correct inspection method for each part Keep inspection area clean and organized Mark accepted and rejected parts clearly Follow safety rules Required Skills and Qualifications 12th pass or ITI graduate Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Ability to read technical drawings Good attention to detail Basic math skills Ability to stand for long periods Good communication skills Basic computer skills Willingness to learn and improve Work Environment Full-time, factory-based role You will be standing and moving around during your shift Work includes using tools and machines Work Schedule Monday to Saturday Shift Timing: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM(Can vary) Overtime may be needed during busy times
