Quality Control Executive (Tube & Precision Components)

As a Quality Control Executive focusing on Tube and Precision Components, your role will involve conducting thorough inspections of seamless, welded, alloy tubes, and precision components based on technical drawings and specifications. You will be responsible for measuring critical dimensions using precision instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Ultrasonic Gauges, CMM, and Surface Roughness Tester. Verifying Material Test Reports (MTR) and ensuring material traceability will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform in-process inspections, first article inspections (FAI), and final product inspections. - Ensure compliance with standards such as ASTM, IS, API, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949. - Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) including Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for tube integrity checks. - Maintain accurate documentation of inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and quality records. - Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) for continuous quality monitoring and suggest process improvements. - Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues. - Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality deviations. - Participate in internal and external quality audits. Qualification: - Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production / Industrial Engineering. - Proven experience in Quality Control within Tube Manufacturing and Precision Component industries. Skills Required: - Proficiency in measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, CMM, and Roughness Tester. - Strong understanding of material standards and industrial codes. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective documentation and reporting abilities. - Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
