Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine testing and quality analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Perform proximate analysis (moisture, ash, protein, fat, fiber, etc.) and other chemical or physical tests as per standard methods.
Maintain accuracy and consistency in testing results through proper sampling and analytical procedures.
Follow and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all lab and documentation activities.
Prepare, review, and maintain laboratory records, logbooks, test reports, and MIS data accurately and in a timely manner.
Carry out method validation, instrument calibration, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure reliability and precision.
Perform in-process quality checks to ensure batch consistency and communicate deviations promptly.
Investigate market complaints, identify root causes, and support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Support internal and external audits (customer, GMP+, ISO22000, or third-party).
Conduct and assist in surveillance audits at CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) facilities.
Collaborate with Production and R&D teams for process improvement, product development, and troubleshooting.
Ensure continuous improvement of lab processes and compliance systems.

Skills & Expertise:

Strong knowledge of proximate analysis and wet chemistry techniques.
Hands-on experience with Moisture Analyzer, Soxhlet, Kjeldahl Unit, Muffle Furnace, NIR and Spectrophotometer.
Proficiency in method validation, GMP documentation, and data integrity practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong teamwork, reporting, and documentation ability.
Capable of managing lab operations independently with accuracy and responsibility.
