Quality Control Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Business Process

- Review and validate MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.

- Execute MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting, plumbing) as per design and

specifications.

- Ensure implementation of sustainable systems as per IGBC (Green Building norms)

and ECBC (Energy Conservation Building Code) requirements.

- Coordinate integration of all MEP services with structural and architectural disciplines

to avoid clashes.

- Plan and conduct regular inspections to monitor quality, timelines, and safety during

installation.

- Oversee vendor coordination for timely delivery, mobilization, and installation of MEP

systems.

- Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP services to Facility

Management (FM) teams, including documentation, training, and O&M manuals.

- Address FM-related technical issues post-handover, including complaint analysis,

root cause resolution, and support for rectifications.

- Ensure all handover requirements, asset tagging, and preventive maintenance

protocols are documented and verified.

- Raise indents and monitor usage of material, ensuring no wastage or overstocking.

- Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies for statutory and green

certification.

Customers

- Address client queries on MEP systems during handover and after possession.

- Ensure that services are demonstrated and transferred to the end-users or facility

management teams smoothly.

- Coordinate closely with CRM and customer experience teams to resolve any post-

handover technical escalations.

Financials

- Track MEP BOQ vs actual consumption to ensure project budgeting is adhered to.

- Control wastage and ensure vendor billing is validated against actual site progress.

- Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce lifecycle cost of MEP systems.

Growth

- Recommend and implement energy-efficient technologies in line with IGBC and ECBC

standards.

- Stay updated on latest MEP trends, sustainable solutions, and regulatory updates.

- Support internal process improvement and best practice documentation for MEP

execution.
