Quality Checker

The role of Engineering Checker involves reviewing design layouts and 3D models to ensure that the product will form, fit, and function correctly. You will be responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of information related to materials, process standards, engineering specifications, and design guides. It is crucial to ensure that newly designed parts will work correctly when assembled, validate dimensions, and apply Geometric Dimensional and Tolerances (GD&T) accurately, including establishing datum references and performing interference and clearance checks as required by the product design and manufacturing process. In addition to these responsibilities, you will collaborate with internal and external clients, provide guidance and mentorship to other checking engineers on engineering practices and standards, develop standard work instructions, and create process documents and templates for complex drawings. Furthermore, you will evaluate drawings to identify potential manufacturing or assembly issues, assess serviceability, and seek opportunities for cost optimization in part production. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design or drawing review. Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, a solid understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance, and the ability to advise engineers on technical correctness are essential for success in this role.,
