Quality Auditor

Role Overview: As a Coder, your primary responsibility will be to utilize your coding skills to conduct invoice reviews and provide expert advice to billing staff. You will need to ensure accurate and precise documentation, including our co-source partners. Your role will involve assigning and sequencing all CPT and ICD-10 codes for services rendered, complying with Medicare policy requirements, working independently from assigned work queues, and maintaining confidentiality and a professional attitude at all times. Additionally, you may be assigned other duties by the management team. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure accuracy of documentation - Assign and sequence all CPT and ICD-10 codes for services rendered - Comply with all Medicare policy requirements and coding initiatives - Work independently from assigned work queues - Maintain confidentiality and a professional attitude - Use, protect, and disclose patients" protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA standards - Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures - Limit viewing of PHI to the minimum necessary for assigned duties Qualifications: - CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA - High School graduate or equivalent - Minimum two years of coding experience related to the specialty needed (IP DRG, OP, Denials, SDS, etc.) - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel - Ability to use job-related software - Surgical coding experience is a plus - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels - Strong problem-solving and creative skills with the ability to make decisions based on accurate analyses - High level of integrity, dependability, and a results-oriented approach - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction Note: The job description does not include any additional details about the company.,
