Quality Assurance/Tester

As a QA/Tester at Ryan, your role is crucial in ensuring high-quality delivery across various internal platforms, including Power Platform applications, client portals, data integrations, and operational tooling. By applying structured, agile testing methods, you will contribute to delivering scalable, reliable, and user-focused solutions. Collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders, you will embed quality throughout the development lifecycle and assist in mitigating delivery risks. Your duties and responsibilities align with Ryans Key Results People and include: - Collaborating with Business Analysts and Developers to refine requirements and acceptance criteria - Designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases across Power Platform applications (Power Apps, Power Automate) - Conducting UI, API, and database testing, including SQL data validation - Maintaining test plans and regression suites aligned to sprint and release cycles - Logging and tracking bugs and enhancement suggestions using Azure DevOps or Jira - Validating system and data integrity across multiple integration points - Supporting UAT coordination and facilitating feedback loops with stakeholders - Promoting and upholding QA best practices and continuous improvement - Monitoring, reporting, and tracking quality metrics Skills & Experience required for this role: - Experience in QA or software testing within an agile environment - Familiarity with the SDLC and agile methodologies - Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) - SQL proficiency for data validation and troubleshooting - Experience with test case design, execution, and documentation - Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) - Strong communication skills and attention to detail Desirable skills include: - Experience testing REST APIs and cloud-based services - Exposure to Dynamics 365, Dataverse, or Azure technologies - Scripting experience or test automation knowledge Please note that this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. The standard indoor working environment may require occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer. The position also involves regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm, as well as external vendors and clients when necessary. Independent travel up to 10% may be required.
