Quality Assurance Trainee- Packaging

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor packing operations to ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Ensure correct labelling of batch numbers, expiry dates, and other regulatory information on packaging.

- Conduct real-time checks for final product inspections, including weight, sealing, leakage, labelling, and overall packaging integrity.

-Ensure compliance with food safety protocols (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).

- Identify and address food safety risks during the packing process.

- Inspect the hygiene and sanitation of the packing area, personnel, and equipment.

- Train packing staff on quality standards and food safety practices.

- Ensure traceability by documenting packaging batch details for audits and recall procedures.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on quality metrics.

- Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Support internal and external audits, including customer, certification body, and regulatory authority inspections.

- Verify the calibration and proper functioning of packaging equipment.

- Conduct regular internal audits of packing processes to ensure on-going compliance.

- Train packing staff on quality standards, food safety practices, and proper handling of packaging materials.

- Identify opportunities to improve packing quality and efficiency.

- Work closely with the Quality Manager to implement customer feedback for continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, FSSC).

Attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations.

Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
