Quality Assurance Team Lead

As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, your role will involve assisting with web application manual testing, automation testing, and all QA processes, while managing a team of QA engineers. You will need exceptional communication, planning, and problem-solving skills to tackle new challenges daily, research development requirements, reproduce customer issues, and work on POCs both independently and collaboratively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan and initiate test automation and test engineering practices, including software development in test for a release. - Read, write, and debug test code in complex programs and support the refactoring of existing test frameworks, guiding team members to do the same. - Utilize a broad range of tools, including open source, AI, and cloud-based solutions. - Build QAT service capability, coach others, and improve QAT-wide practices to support the digital service standard. - Have extensive hands-on test experience within Agile projects, understanding Sprint, CI, and release testing lifecycles. - Develop and implement automation frameworks, provide advice on best practices, and mentor medium-sized teams. - Manage team performance, offer feedback, plan and provide training, lead POCs, and coordinate test coverage and execution. - Work with Open Source tools and Cloud-based services, including Cucumber, Gherkin, Jasmine, Cypress, WebDriver, Jenkins/Drone/Gitlab, and REST libraries. - Experience with containerized techniques, Docker, and Cloud-Based Hosting. - Define and advise on test scope, approach, risks, and assumptions across agile testing, ensuring an effective test service throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle. **Qualifications:** - 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Exceptional problem-solving skills. - Good understanding of Agile methodology and QA processes. - Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, RDBMS, and exposure to Non-relational databases. - Knowledge of APIs, API testing, On-prem, and Cloud-based applications. - Familiarity with JIRA, Docker, JMeter, ZAP, Selenium, Playwright, and other test/project management tools. - Ability to write test documentation, review requirements, and create bug reports. - Experience with AI tools and performance testing is a plus. - Exposure to Odata and BI/Reporting tools would be beneficial.
