Job Description

Role Summary / Purpose

Ensure in-house Machine Shop & Assembly Shop quality.
Analyze pump performance, failures, and implement preventive actions against non-conformances.
Resolve machine shop and assembly issues through ORC files.
Conduct final inspection of inland & export pumps.
Monitor and report monthly Machine Shop & Assembly Shop quality and PPM.

Key Responsibilities

Address assembly & machine shop issues and raise SAP notifications.
Perform rejection analysis and CAPA through RCA.
Calibrate balancing machines (Impeller line).
Prepare Component Quality Plans for machine shop & assembly shop.
Generate monthly MIS reports.
Ensure readiness clearance for inspection-ordered pumps.
Prepare dimensional reports for hydraulic components against pump rejection from PTL.
Handle inland/export spare impeller, pump casing, and back pull-out crediting while maintaining CTQ parameters.
SAP QM clearance and punching of rejections.
Conduct 2P2S audits and implement CAPA for NCs.
Manage non-conformance reports and ORC issues.
Participate in third-party inspections (Hydro, Bal, PMI).
Engage in KAIZEN, 5S, TPM, and Aspire activities.
Prepare TPM QC stories and QM matrices.
Implement design changes and troubleshooting via SAP notifications.
Conduct internal RR meetings with CFT to reduce rework issues.
Update quality corner boards and prepare monthly QAP.
Ensure compliance through audits to eliminate internal/external customer complaints.

Skills Required

Proficiency in 7 QC tools.
SAP-QM module knowledge.
Mechanical testing and spectro analysis expertise.
Understanding of heat treatment cycles and microstructures.
MS Office and PowerPoint proficiency.
