Job Description

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

Design and execute manual and automated test cases for backend APIs and web applications
Create, maintain, and optimize test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Work closely with developers and product owners to identify and reproduce bugs
Validate REST and GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger
Implement automation frameworks using Python / JavaScript (eg, PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
Conduct regression, integration, smoke, and performance testing
Track, report, and verify bugs using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Contribute to continuous integration pipelines for automated testing
Ensure test coverage, traceability, and overall software reliability

Required Skills:

Strong experience with manual and automation testing
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience testing REST APIs and microservice-based systems
Hands-on with test automation frameworks (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / PyTest)
Familiarity with SQL and databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Good communication and documentation skills
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology

Nice to Have:

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust)
Experience testing cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS)
Understanding of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
