Job Description

As an experienced QA/QC Manager for a high-profile resort construction project in the Maldives, your role will be crucial in ensuring that all construction activities meet contractual specifications, international standards, and client expectations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the QA/QC plan, procedures, and inspection protocols. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a significant role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement the project's QA/QC plan, procedures, and inspection protocols. - Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, etc.) and client specifications. - Supervise site inspections, material testing, and workmanship evaluations. - Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements. - Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). - Prepare quality-related reports for senior management and client representatives. - Work closely with project managers, engineers, and HSE teams to align quality objectives with project milestones. - Liaise with client representatives and consultants on quality matters. - Conduct training sessions for site staff and subcontractors on QA/QC procedures. - Investigate quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution. - Support root cause analysis and preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably hospitality or resort developments. - Strong knowledge of international quality standards and construction codes. - Hands-on experience with material testing, inspection procedures, and quality audits. - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to work in remote island environments and multicultural teams. - Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC management software. In addition to the job requirements, the position may involve relocating to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and a willingness to travel 100% for in-person work.
