QA Tester

As a QA Tester at Barclays, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality, and governance standards. Your role will involve spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation, and excellence. By harnessing cutting-edge technology, you will revolutionize our digital offerings to ensure unparalleled customer experiences. To excel in this role, you should have a strong proficiency in the Java programming language and object-oriented programming concepts. Additionally, hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Cucumber and JMeter, knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Gitlab, familiarity with cloud platforms like Redhat Openshift, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and experience within financial services is a good-to-have. Some other highly valued skills for this role may include experience with Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes, knowledge of database concepts and Mongo, and experience with performance testing tools like JMeter. In this role based in Pune, your purpose will be to design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, and ensure software quality and reliability. Key Accountabilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with quality standards. - Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools for early defect detection. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria. - Perform root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers for defect resolution. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends.
