QA Test Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities QA Automation Engineer (36 Years Experience) 1. Test Automation Design and Development • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. • Create reusable and scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend systems. 2. Test Planning and Execution • Understand functional and non-functional requirements and create effective test strategies. • Collaborate with QA leads and product teams to define test coverage and ensure complete validation. • Execute test automation suites and analyze results for stability and reliability. 3. Defect Tracking and Reporting • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps. • Provide detailed reports and logs to help troubleshoot issues quickly. 4. Collaboration and Agile Participation • Work closely with developers, manual QA, product owners, and other stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments. • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. 5. Performance and API Testing • Develop and execute automated performance and load tests using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools. • Implement API tests using Postman, RestAssured, or other REST testing tools. 6. Code and Test Reviews • Perform peer reviews of test scripts and automation frameworks. • Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented test code. 7. Continuous Improvement • Evaluate new automation tools and technologies for adoption. • Suggest and implement process improvements for test efficiency and coverage. Preferred candidate profile : Programming Skills: Proficient in one or programming languages like Java or javascript Automation Frameworks: Experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or others. Testing Methodologies: Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing. API Testing: Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured. Agile/Scrum: Familiar Strong ty with Agile or Scrum development methodologies. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Data more base Knowledge: Understanding of databases and SQL for testing purposes. Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud-based applications and testing in cloud environments. Good to Skills have: Stub test script design and develop for micro services using any programming language.
