Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform end-to-end testing of reports and dashboards built using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Logi)
Validate data accuracy, transformations and aggregations from source systems through ETL layers to reporting layers
Perform ETL / Database testing including source-to-target data validation, mapping and data completeness checks
Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation across multiple databases
Perform functional, regression and UAT testing of BI reports
Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure accurate business reporting
Identify, document and track defects using tools like Jira / ALM / Azure DevOps
Prepare test cases, test data, and result documentation for data and report validation
Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and provide QA estimates

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Strong experience in BI Report Testing (Power BI / Tableau / Cognos / Logi)
Good understanding of Database concepts (ETL, Fact, Dimension, Staging, OLAP)
Hands-on experience in ETL / Data Validation testing
Advanced SQL skills – able to write queries with joins, groupings, and aggregations
Experience with data comparison and reconciliation between source, staging and reporting layers
Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodology and defect management tools (Jira, ALM, QC, etc)
Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills
