Job Summary:

Mechanical Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for mechanical works including piping, firefighting, equipments etc.
• Review and approve mechanical method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and material submittals.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and surveillance on mechanical installations (HVAC, piping, fire fighting, plumbing, etc.).
• Documentation Like Incoming Material Inspection Report (IMIR), Material Receipt Intimation Cum Acceptance Report (MRICAR), Equipment Erection & Alignment Report ,Foundation Inspection Report (Before & After Grouting), (LEAR) Line Erection & Alignment Reports, (WIR) Welding Inspection Report, Structure Fabrication & Erection Report, Pipe Bend Inspection Report, Flange Alignment Reports, Painting Report, (CRR) Circuit Release Report ,Preparation Of Construction Completion Certificate (CCC) & System Transfer Document (STD) For System Handover.
• System Circuit Marking, Joint Marking, Termination Point Identification, As Built Drawing Preparation, Material Segregation, Identification & Preparation of Reconciliation
• Preparation of Various reports and its certification from client for monthly RA Bill and Prepare all documents for RA Bill & Managing the control sheet for Billing. Monitor compliance with international standards, local codes, and project specifications.
• Monitoring The Cleaning, Shot Blasting, Painting, Welding, Fabrication, & Equipment, Pipeline Erection with Support as Per Schedule. Tracking the Progress & Plan for Shortfall as Per Key Dates Achievements.
• Preparation of BOQ for receipt approved drawing, Drawing List, Support List, Circuit List, Insulated Line List, & History Dockets Etc
• Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs) and ensure proper documentation and closure.
• Coordinate with construction and design teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain proper QA documentation such as weld visual, test records, calibration certificates, inspection reports, etc.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Train and support site teams to follow proper QA procedures and protocols.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors regarding quality matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma /Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• NDT -Level-2 (VT, DPT, MPT, UT, RT)
• [3-7]+ years of experience in QA/QC or quality assurance roles in mechanical engineering projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, ASTM, etc.).
• Familiarity with QA tools, inspection techniques, and documentation procedures.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC software tools.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a construction or industrial environment.

Preferred Certifications:

• ASNT Level II (for NDT methods) is a plus.
• QA/QC certification from recognized institutions is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based or plant-based with frequent field inspections.
• May require extended hours to meet project milestones or resolve quality issues.
