As a Test Engineer at our company, your role involves designing, developing, and executing test cases based on requirements and user stories. You will define and prepare test data and environments to support testing. It is essential to maintain and enhance manual test suites to keep pace with new product features. In case of problems during testing, your responsibility will be to troubleshoot, isolate issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide feedback to the Development team. Your ultimate goal is to ensure that our software components are developed and thoroughly tested following best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories. - Define and prepare test data and environments to support testing. - Maintain and enhance manual test suites to stay current with new product features. - Troubleshoot, isolate problems encountered during testing, conduct root cause analysis, and provide feedback to the Development team. - Ensure that software components are developed and thoroughly tested following best practices. Qualifications Required: - 1+ years of IT industry experience (Product testing experience will be an added advantage). - Proficiency in various testing types: black box, white box, regression, integration. - Hands-on experience in authoring and executing test scenarios/test cases manually. - Experience working with enterprise-level web and mobile-based applications. - Ability to understand and clearly document complex technical issues. - Good communication skills and experience in communicating Code Quality metrics to stakeholders. - Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus. - Complete understanding of manual testing aspects.
