Job Description

As the QA Manager in plastic injection moulding, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance policies, procedures, and systems. Leading the QA team, you will monitor and evaluate product quality across all stages to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and relevant regulatory bodies such as ISO, GMP, HACCP, and IATF. Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process and product non-conformances will be a key aspect of your role. Managing customer complaints, performing root cause analysis, and implementing quality improvement plans will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage internal and external audits, including those from customers and third-party entities. Reviewing and approving quality documentation such as SOPs, control plans, and test reports will be crucial in maintaining quality standards. Handling customer complaints effectively and collaborating with various teams to promptly resolve quality issues will be essential. Monitoring key quality KPIs and generating periodic quality performance reports will help in identifying areas for improvement. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering along with 10-15 years of experience in QA/QC, including at least 5 years in a managerial position. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant standards like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, and GMP is required. Proficiency in quality tools such as 7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC, CAPA, and RCA is necessary. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills will be beneficial in leading audits by customers, certifying agencies, or regulators. Desired skills include certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lead Auditor ISO 9001, working knowledge of SAP or QMS software, and industry-specific experience in plastic injection moulding. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste, as well as ensuring quality processes are embedded in all operations by coordinating with production, R&D, and supply chain teams, will be part of your responsibilities. This is a full-time position with benefits like Provident Fund, and the work location is in Pune, Maharashtra. Reliability in commuting or planning to relocate before starting work is preferred.
