Hello Folks, We are hiring for "QA Lead (Playwright)" for one of the Hybrid Based Company. Job Description: Job type:- Permanent / Full Time Exp 9 + years Loc - Mumbai/Bangalore - 5 days WFO for 2/3 months later hybrid NP : Immediate to June Serving Only Key Skills: Automation Testing + Java + Selenium+ API Testing(Rest) + Playwright (Basic/Knowledge) We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with 7-10 years of experience in the software testing domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise in Selenium, Playwright, and API Testing. This role requires someone who has significant experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing test automation scripts, specifically for large-scale applications. You will play a crucial role in improving the overall quality of our products through the development of comprehensive automated test cases, and provide leadership in mentoring teams, especially with respect to automation strategies. Responsibilities: Test Automation Development: Lead the development, enhancement, and execution of automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and API testing tools. Design and develop robust, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks for both UI and API test cases. Ensure that automated test cases cover all required functional, regression, and performance scenarios. Integrate test automation with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab). Scripting and Test Case Design: Design, write, and maintain complex test scripts for different layers of applications (UI, Backend, and API). Continuously refactor and optimize test automation code for better performance and maintainability. Execute API test automation using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI, and integrate them with the overall test suite. Handle complex scenarios in web and mobile applications and create reusable scripts for future use. Test Execution & Reporting: Execute automated tests in various environments and provide detailed reports on test execution and defects found. Collaborate with development teams to diagnose, isolate, and resolve defects. Maintain and enhance existing automation test suites, ensuring all tests are up-to-date and aligned with evolving product features. Utilize CI/CD pipelines for regular execution and reporting of automated test cases. Mentoring & Leadership: Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance on test automation best practices and tools. Take ownership of the test automation strategy and continuously evaluate tools, processes, and techniques for improvements. Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Developers, Product Managers) to ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and product releases. Performance & Load Testing (Optional): Implement performance testing scripts using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner, if required, for API and application-level load tests. Analyze test results and identify bottlenecks or performance issues for the team to address. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Test Automation, with a focus on Selenium, Playwright, and API testing. Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python), Playwright, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI). Proven ability to design and develop automation frameworks from scratch. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and integrating automated tests into these pipelines. Expertise in Agile methodologies and understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong understanding of test case design, debugging, and defect tracking processes. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and using collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to mentor and lead a team of automation engineers and testers. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.). Experience with Docker or containerized test environments. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and how they integrate with testing automation. Exposure to mobile automation tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso). Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Any references would be greatly appreciated !!
