Role Overview: As a mid-level QA Engineer at UBS, your role will involve testing the code that supports the UBS Data Mesh. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by following QA procedures. Working in an agile manner as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you will share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues, assist in hiring talented data engineers, and contribute to the engineering culture and internal communities. Additionally, you will become a subject matter expert in the product and assist other teams in utilizing the product effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Test code underpinning the UBS Data Mesh - Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions - Work in an agile manner as part of multi-disciplinary teams - Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues - Assist in hiring talented data engineers - Contribute regularly to engineering culture and internal communities - Become an SME in the product and help other teams with product usage Qualifications Required: - Thorough knowledge and hands-on expertise in UI, API, and database testing methodologies and techniques - Ability to create and maintain functional test cases at the use case/user journey level - Proficiency in test automation frameworks for UI and APIs - Experience in writing automation test suites and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines - Knowledge of JMeter and Selenium testing tools - Understanding of performance testing principles - Nice to have: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Data Mesh principles and technologies - Working knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu About the Company: UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
