QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer with 12 years of experience in manual and automation testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IoT and digital solutions for B2B clients. Here's what you can expect in this role: **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for both backend and frontend testing to deliver high-quality products that bridge the gap between devices and digital platforms. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Backend Testing:** - Write and execute manual test cases for backend services (written in TypeScript, Go). - Identify, log, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). - Test RESTful APIs using Postman and develop automation scripts for API testing. - Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and perform verification/validation tests. - Conduct stress and performance testing for backend services (experience in JMeter/Locust is a plus). - **Frontend Testing:** - Perform manual testing of the web portal across multiple scenarios and features. - Test mobile applications on different devices (Android/iOS) to ensure cross-platform consistency. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts for the portal using Cypress (experience with Playwright or Selenium is a plus). **Qualifications:** - 12 years of experience as a QA Engineer (manual + automation). - Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies. - Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman) and automation scripting. - Familiarity with Cypress (or Selenium/Playwright) for web automation. - Exposure to mobile app testing (Android/iOS). - Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL for validating test data. - Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, or equivalent). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in an agile environment. **Nice to Have:** - Experience with performance/stress testing tools (JMeter, Locust). - Exposure to working in a startup/Agile environment. - Basic scripting knowledge in TypeScript/Go/Python for test automation.
