QA Engineer (Embedded/IOT)

As an Engineer (Manual) at VOLANSYS, you will be responsible for executing manual testing processes and ensuring the quality of various software and hardware products. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Clear understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Bug life cycle concepts. - Expertise in functional and non-functional testing. - Hands-on experience with various black box and manual testing techniques. - Understanding and utilization of various test matrix and reports. - Proficiency in Test management and Bug tracking tools such as Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla, Clear Quest, Quality Centre. Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: - Embedded software and firmware testing with practical knowledge of various lab equipment. - Mobile application and Handheld mobile devices, HMI device testing with hands-on experience on tools like Device cloud (e.g., Perfecto, Deviceanywhere, MonkeyTalk, Eggplant, Appium). - Enterprise software testing (Web/Desktop). - Cloud application, Cloud Services & APIs, Inter-cloud, and cloud interoperability testing. - Networking protocol, Devices, and application / L2-L3 testing with hands-on experience on tools like Ixia, Spirent, Wireshark, WireEdit. - Experience in IoT, Thread, Azure, Nest, Apple HomeKit, etc. Nice to have skills include: - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Perl, JavaScript. - Ability to convert manual test cases to automation test scripts. - Working knowledge of Linux. - Debugging Tools expertise such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, GDB, PDB, Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent, Vectorcast, GTest, Monkey runner. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelors or Masters degree in EC/CE/IT or any similar field. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must for effective collaboration within the team.
