As an Automation Test Engineer at our company based in Ahmedabad, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for web, mobile, and API testing. Your role will involve ensuring that the automation frameworks are scalable, maintainable, and reusable. It is essential to stay updated with industry trends and best practices in automation testing and QA methodologies. You will be required to review and document Test Plans and Test Cases, as well as work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Participation in design and code reviews to provide a QA perspective is also a crucial aspect of the role. Analyzing test results, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues will be part of your daily tasks. Your technical skills must include an in-depth understanding of Test Methodologies, SDLC (Waterfall, Agile), STLC, and the Bug Life Cycle. Hands-on experience in Black Box Testing techniques, using Test Management Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools is necessary. Expertise in Python-based development, as well as knowledge of data structures, programming techniques, and automation of remote data processing, will be beneficial. Experience with Automation frameworks like Robot, GTest, py.test, and familiarity with various test metrics and reports are required. Additionally, knowledge of tools such as Jmeter, SoupUI / Postman, Appium, QTP, Selenium, debugging tools, performance testing tools, BDD/TDD practices, cloud-based testing environments, and networking protocols will be advantageous. Soft skills such as good communication, interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are also essential for this role. Educational criteria include a degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communications, or IT. Flexibility to travel to customer locations within or outside India on business trips and short deployments is expected.
