About the Role:

What You’ll be Responsible for?

• Designing and executing manual test cases to validate functional and non-functional requirements across web and backend systems.
• Performing API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar to ensure robust and secure service integrations.
• Conducting FTP-based validations, including file transfers, format checks, and data integrity across environments.
• Leading regression testing efforts to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.
• Performing database testing to validate data consistency, integrity, and correctness using SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Collaborating with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and issues using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Participating in release planning and quality gates, ensuring readiness for production deployment.
• Mentoring junior QA engineers and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.

What You’d have?

• 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, including designing test cases, executing them, and preparing detailed status reports.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automating API and UI testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Strong experience in manual testing across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Hands-on expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with FTP protocols, file validation techniques, and automation of file-based workflows.
• Design and implement automated test suites using BDD principles with the Cucumber framework.
• Maintain and enhance the BDD automation framework, ensuring scalability and reusability
• Design and implement BDD test cases using Gherkin syntax to ensure clarity and alignment with business requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to define acceptance criteria and translate them into executable BDD scenarios.
• Solid understanding of regression testing strategies and test suite maintenance.
• Proficiency in SQL for database validation, data integrity checks, and backend testing.
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, or similar) is a plus.
• Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple layers of the tech stack.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in working with both Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Prior experience in telecom domains, particularly with communication platforms and messaging technologies such as SMS, email, and voice services, is a strong plus.
