Qa Automation Testing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. This role involves working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create and maintain robust test frameworks and improve overall software performance and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Maintain and improve existing automation test frameworks.
• Conduct performance, regression, and functional testing.
• Identify, record, and track bugs through to resolution.
• Generate test reports and metrics for stakeholders.
• Continuously explore new tools and technologies to enhance test automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 -9 years of experience in software QA with a focus on automation testing.
• Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
