Job Description

QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure quality standards.
Execute automated and manual test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
Develop and maintain regression test suites to ensure product stability.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Identify testing gaps and improve automation framework efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis of failures and ensure issues are tracked and resolved.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline from a recognized university.
A Masters degree or relevant certifications in backend or cloud technologies is a plus.

Required Skills

Strong experience (3+ years) in QA Automation for web, API, or mobile applications.
Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium.
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
Good understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or others).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) for test validations.
