QA Automation Engineer II

You will be joining Juniper Square as a QA Engineer, collaborating with the product and engineering teams to drive manual and automation testing efforts. Your attention to detail, passion for product quality, and focus on enhancing the end user experience will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review functional specifications and technical design documents, providing valuable feedback - Identify test cases suitable for automation in new feature releases, working closely with the development team - Design, develop, and execute test cases for product features and backend systems - Maintain and enhance the automation framework (Cypress/Playwright/Locust) to ensure system reliability and extensibility - Share best practices, processes, and problem-solving insights with your development team - Create automated test result reports, highlighting potential quality risks - Troubleshoot, track, and resolve bugs efficiently - Advocate for automation by supporting manual efforts and collaborating with engineering team leads to streamline manual testing efforts **Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience - **Experience:** 4-7 years in Software Quality Assurance, with a focus on testing web applications - **Test Automation:** Proficient in designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks for web applications, preferably using Playwright - **Programming Skills:** Strong skills in at least one programming language like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python - **API Testing:** Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of REST APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Locust - **CI/CD and SDLC:** Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, software development lifecycle concepts, and related practices - **Tools and Systems:** Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), test management tools (e.g., TestRail), and issue-tracking platforms (e.g., Jira) - **Databases:** Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL is a plus - **Cloud and Deployment:** Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and application deployments - **Test Process:** Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, executing tests, and following QA best practices - **Soft Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within Agile teams - **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Juniper Square values diversity and inclusivity, believing it enhances the company.
