About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of testing concepts, hands-on exposure to automation tools, and familiarity with Jira for bug tracking and task management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand requirements and support test planning.
• Execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Identify, log, and track defects using Jira; ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Contribute to regression and integration testing efforts.
• Support the integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Learn and adopt new tools, frameworks, and best practices in QA and automation.

Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
• Basic knowledge of at least one automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Jira for bug tracking, test case management, or sprint tasks.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Understanding of performance testing basics.
