QA Automation Architect Playwright
Job Location: REMOTE Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned QA Automation Architect with deep expertise in Playwright to lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable, and efficient test automation frameworks. This role involves strategic planning, hands-on scripting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality of software products.

Key Responsibilities: Architectural Leadership:
  • Design and implement robust automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Define and evolve automation strategies aligned with organizational quality goals.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency.
Automation Execution:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
  • Conduct performance, regression, and smoke testing using automated suites.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify test cases for automation.
Process & Quality Management:
  • Establish formal QA processes and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor and report on test execution, coverage, and defect metrics.
  • Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and agile ceremonies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA engineers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role.
  • Proven expertise in Playwright and scripting languages like JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI tools, and test management platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
