Job Purpose Insert information for the expected results for the person handling the job profile What You Will Do: Adhere to all established coding, scripting, documentation, and project procedures and all corporate policies. Estimate the effort required to complete tasks based on the design. Formulate work breakdowns outlining the steps required to accomplish each assigned task. Prepare and maintain documents, flow charts, test data, and diagrams as needed to describe the test s intended functionality, the data flow, the logic used, and any significant considerations made. Contribute to automation test script writing and execution. Carry out POCs and explore new tools and techniques to add/enhance current automation framework. Participate in a scrum team and attend specification workshops to ensure all user stories have the requisite acceptance criteria Work as a member of a scrum team to define test plans, test cases, and test procedures to validate requirements against developed software and prepare test data. Perform components, integration, system, and acceptance level testing. Record and Report failures and bugs to relevant team members; assist in prioritizing, investigating and correcting failures. Review existing test procedures and test cases for completeness when modules or products are enhanced, and when defects are found. Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization s Agile project lifecycle Perform exploratory testing when appropriate at key points in the release cycle. Design, implement, and perform advanced system tests. Update and maintain their personal skill set by investigating relevant tools and techniques, participating in professional organizations and reading professional publications. Recommend enhancement ideas and other next steps to improve the software. Participate in work planning sessions and software demonstrations Designs, modifies, and executes test cases as an individual contributor, and reviews and approves test cases of peers Creates and updates Test Plans and other guidelines around testing activities Performs system, exploratory, regression and acceptance level testing. Demonstrates understanding and application of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for software testing. And other duties as assigned. What to Bring: Bachelor s degree in computer science. 3+ years experience in software testing for Windows applications or software life cycle management including requirements gathering, test planning, and defect tracking Experience in automation test script writing, making framework level decisions and changes. Familiarity with different test automation techniques. Strong experience in Java, with a focus on developing and maintaining test scripts. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated UI testing. Experience with Cucumber for Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Familiarity with TestNG for test management and parallel test execution. Ability to configure and execute tests in parallel on multiple browsers and environments using Selenium Grid. Able to learn and adapt to new tools and explore the next Gen AI tools. Has strong innovative and analytical abilities Has solid understanding of testing throughout the software life cycle Able to learn new techniques and technologies and can pick them up quickly Experienced with black box testing and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts. Supports the Agile methodology while understanding that each organization applies it to best fit their own environment Is competent to work under general direction on complex projects, issues, and problems Is familiar with Jenkins, Git Able to create and utilize Master Test Plans that capture scope and strategy for release testing.
