Role: L2 Application Production Support 

Production L2 support  An L2 Production Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting application systems in operation, focusing on resolving more complex issues and incidents. This role requires strong technical skills, analytical abilities, and knowledge of various tools and technologies to ensure smooth and efficient application performance.

Primary Skill – Unix, Oracle/SQL data and performance troubleshooting, shell scripting, Autosys, Scheduling Cron jobs.

Monitoring and Logging Tools: Datadog, Splunk, Service Now, JIRA

Secondary Skill – AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins,

Note: Dedicated USA shift.

Production L2 support Engineer:

1. 4 to 6 Unix, shell scirpting, Schdeding jobs, autosys, Cron job, Control M.

2. Good Understanding of Database Systems – Oracle / PL SQL data and performance troubleshooting.

3. Hand on experience troubleshooting.

4. Good understanding of programming skills in languages such as Python.

5. Understanding of cloud platforms Primarily in AWS Cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

6. Experience in managing configuration, deployments, handling and resolving incidents, including root cause analysis.

7. Knowledge with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.

8. Good Knowledge of Source Code Repository Tools – GitHub, Bit bucket

9. Proficiency in Monitoring, Logging & Traceability Tools – Datadog, Splunk

10. Infrastructure skills: Terraform for infrastructure as code, Skilled in the understanding of use, core cloud application infrastructure services including identity platforms, networking, storage, databases, containers, and serverless

11. ITIL – Incident, Change, Problem management, Root Cause Analysis findings,

12. Documentation as Runbooks for lesson learn

13. Hands on experience on technical operations application support and stability, reliability and resiliency

14. Proficient in communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with another team.

15. Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and adapt to changing environments.
